Not renewing my membership while playing multiple turn based tournaments.

Notify chess.com, in writing, 30 days before your renewal. I don't know about your tournaments; its just the prudent thing to do when it involves moey.
Have you thought about perhaps doing a month to month gold membership to tide you over for now?
I hadn't considered a month to month. About sending them a letter: am I supposed to ask them to let me complete my tournaments? Will they just allow that? Like Scottrf said, maybe I could finish what I'm already in but can't enter new multiple ones after my membership ends.
About sending them a letter?? I honestly have nooo idea. I renew my membership monthly, and I try not to bother them unless I have a real serious issue. To my knowledge, Jacklyn handels computer tech issues, Matt seems to be one of the financial people, and a good ad min person for tournaments is Steve212000. The letter comment is standard business, like your concern for your opponents. That's nice of you. Hope that helps!

Scottrf is correct, you won't be kicked out of any existing tournaments if your membership level goes from premium to basic. It won't affect your existing games at all.

Hi all. I'm currently in 4 different turn based tournaments. My membership runs out some time next month. I don't actually use all the great things chess.com has so it seems like I'm just wasting my membership & I'm considering not renewing it. If I don't pay again am I only allowed 1 tournament at a time then? Will I get forfieted a whole bunch of games at once for not renewing? I'm still up in the air on whether I should pay for another year but I just have soooo much going on work-wise right now & it's very important for me to focus on & nurture what I've got going. Chess just isn't really on top of my priority list. But I still would hate to be just dropped from so many tournaments, it wouldn't be fair to the other players since I'm the one that started the tournaments. Anyone know how that works?
