- I played my first correspondence game at the Rating of 1200 but after defeating the higher rated opponent, my finished game shows my rating, after adjustment, as 1417 which might make confusion that when I started the game my rating was 1417 and not 1200. I thought the finished games must show the rating of the players which were at the time of start of play and any adjustment in their ratings, after finishing the game, should apply to the next game they play. I would appreciate your comments/views whether I am right or wrong.
Players Rating in Archive games

Almost 22 members have viewed my aforesaid thread, but none of them made any comments whether what has been quoted above is right or wrong !!!!!!!

In the archive the ratings are after the game has finished. This is probably because the new rating is more representative of your actual rating than the before rating.

Thanks for your comments Hypocrism..... Yeah I know that, but in my opionion the old rating of both the opponents (at the start of the game) should be reflected in the archive games so that the game of both the players can be compared/analysed according to their actual rating and not on adjusted rating.
For example, in my case, I played my first game at 1200 rating against a higher rated player of me but after finishing the game my rating shows 1417. If anyone compares the game, he/she can think that I defeated the opponent who was rated lesser than me which would not be corrected.
So I emphasize to Chess.com that actual/old rating should be shown in Archive Games insterad of New one.
