It's not possible to master chess, so you're going to have to be more specific on how it's more challenging and sophisticated. There are already classic, thousands of years old, respected board games that have a higher game tree complexity so if that's what you're getting at you're about a zillion years too late. If it's yet another variant, I can hardly begin to express my lack of enthusiasm. There likely more variants now than there are possible games of chess, each a bigger piece of crap than the one that came before it.
Great name by the way, I could tell it's sophisticated. "Billy-Chess" says class all the way.
Don't think it'd be worth digging up a quote for you about how great chess is, as you seem to have no respect for it. I'd point you to some video game review sites about how it's the most smartest, but I really don't think that'd be the place to look. I mean you already went looking to yahoo answers, and if a bunch of 13 year olds couldn't think it up it must not be out there to find.
No good estimate for total online chess players -- if I had to guess though I'd put it around 60 to 80 thousand. A lot of those people are very casual players though, many who don't know anything beyond the basic rules of movement.
Hi everybody,
My game BilliChess is more sophisticated and challenging than chess; it made it to the Intel Level Up 2010 Winners List. I asked the following qoestion on “Yahoo Answers” but I didn’t get any decent answer so far: “a famous quote ab Chess being (the most) intelligent or smart(est) board game (or video game)?”
Also: how many live and online chess tournaments are there? How many players do they involve?
Any inputs will be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan
