...Searching for Bobby Fischer wasn't about Bobby Fischer. You're confused.

killer_instinct_2406

Of all time, I'd say it'll be Fisher, though not buy a lot.

Personally, I like Lasker because of the ridiculous positions he got him self out of.  He was the master of getting out of messy situations.  Now if he was perfect he wouldn't get himself into those situations, but nobody is perfect.

How can Alekhine be the best? He was straight up worse than Lasker at his prime and he really had nothing on Capablance, he got lucky and then refused to play him again.

I would say Kasparov, but if I could play like anybody i wished...I would choose Tal :)

Alekhine is my favorite player but objectively, Kasparov is clearly the greatest of all time.

Of all chessplayers who ever lived, one name always standout as synonymous to chess. Bobby Fischer.

More like being synonymous as being a premodonna and a fruitcake...but he was good in his prime...

Hard to say, according to an old norwegian encyclopedia (produced in 1971 when Spasskji was World Champion) Alekhine was "in general" known as the greatest chess genius in all time. Didnt Lasker sometimes play less than optimal moves to make his opponent feel kind of false self-confidence, remember reading that somewhere. Known as a psychological player?

What Bobby Fischer achieved on his own is probably the most respectful in chess history.

It´s forced to namely at least these: Capablanca, Fischer, Kasparov.
