Why Chess Not Major Like Others Professional Sports

Chess is the best game in the world why we as chess players dont push to get Chess ON TV

I'd really like to see it on TV. But I'm afraid it won't happen for awhile.

Say they people on this site that can do some real marketing and get this chess stuff on Tv Its us the players thats have to put it on tv with W O M

I'm not sure if you were implying this, but in case there was any doubt, chess isn't a sport.  It's a board game.  An awesome board game, but a game none the less.

its a game you right but its the most competive game they have.

I have to disagree wiv u, DylanAM. Chess is considered a sport - a mind sport. 

Personally, i wish there would soon be a special channel juz for chess like ESPN or CNN with Kasparov and Topalov giving interviews... haha...

I love chess, don't get me wrong.  But I'd rather watch paint dry than a televised event. 

Thats what Espn need to be trying to put on there network for real. We need address that on some of they websites ya dig we as the chess world can do it

That weird to me why they dont have chess on tv and do everything else a sport and on Tv Why Not Chess, fishing mountain climber all kind of stuff why not a mind sport

Wouldn't it be great to see the best chess players slugging it out on TV and great GMs as commentators...? Its a whole new way to enjoy chess. Maybe we should try  pushing for an hour on ESPN before setting up an whole new channel.
