Aborted games

So I've had maybe a dozen opponents abort games on me.  Yet I had to abort just *one game* because of an emergency phone call and I keep getting these warnings about fair play and not abusing my privileges, etc. Does everyone who aborts just one game get this?  Because I've had many aborters, especially those with higher ratings who decide they don't want to play lowly me.

I think the abort message happens anytime you abort. The site keeps track of how often it happens, so you don't have to worry about it on your end, unless you do it a lot.

I've had 20 aborts in a row.  What am I doing wrong?

I've never knowingly aborted a game (and I'm not sure I know how to do it), yet I'm getting aborted games maybe 80% of the time.  could this be a server issue, or are opponents actually making the decision over and over to not play me?

What is the message that shows up when the game is aborted? If it's the server it will say something like "the game has been aborted by the server."

Sometimes it says that, sometimes it says, "so and so has left the chat'" and sometimes it just says "game aborted."  Sometimes white will make one move and then abort.

I think there should be a penalty for those who abort games. Sometimes someone answers my seek and then aborts. So I try again and the same person comes on and again aborts the game. This gets very annoying especially when it happens several times in a row which does happen sometimes. Also sometimes the person who aborts is cheating because he wants to get white, for example, when the machine gives him black.  Maybe the person who aborts a game should get a 5 minutes time out or something.

It shows up to everyone. I got flagged once and suspended or whatever they call it and had wait 5 min between games. I talked to the staff and they helped me with it and fixed it. Sometimes they do end up getting innocent people but usually they dont. The warning is standard and happens all the time but dont frequently abort games or stall in your game and you will be fine!

You might have a bad connection which would cause the server to automatically abort the game. If you take too long to connect it may register you as not moving and would then abort the game automatically so your opponet wouldn't have to sit there waiting or abort themselves. It's happened to me before like that.
