Bug in the Chess.com player?

I was playing this live 5/2 game the other day.

Since I had a lot of time and the opponent was moving his king around in circles, I was having some fun promoting 4 queens.  You know, one of those days.

To my shock, the game suddenly ended in a draw with "Insufficient Material".   The 50 Moves rule also doesn't apply since I'd allowed for a couple of pawns to be captured.

Can somebody explain what happened and help me reclaim the win in this game?

If you run out of time and your opponent doesn't have mating material, you don't deserve a win, so you get a draw instead.

If you were suffering from lag, then you might have had less time than you thought.  I guess you shouldn't have wasted time getting so many queens when just 1 was enough (maybe get two, since that makes a really quick and easy win, but 4 is just wasting your and your opponent's time, to your detriment in this case).

There is only one posssible explanation.  You ran out of time.  Some kind of karmic justice for screwing around with your opponent and promoting pawns instead of finishing him off.  Be happy you got a draw; if he'd had a pawn left, you would have lost.
