try using a different browser.
Can't play against computer
Java is probably working on your computer, but the problem is that Chrome is phasing out the plugin that lets Java run in the browser. There's a workaround, at least until Chrome v45 is released. I don't recommend that you use the workaround due to security concerns, but I guess that's your choice whether to take on that risk.

The workaround seems to have worked but the vs computer is different on the website than the android app. On the website, it wont tell me if I made a mistake or highlight the possible moves for me. I guess I'll stick to the android version. Thanks anyways for the help.
Your chrome is 64bits? Because im having the same problem
As EscherehcsE suggested, you have to use the workaround or just a different browser.
I can't see the board when I try to play against the computer. I know that I have Java installed because I have to use it for a university class. Even so, I reinstalled Java in case I had a bad installation but I still don't see the board. I am using chrome on windows 8.1.
