Has Google Chrome been fully tested yet?

So far I haven't seen any issues. But the real test should be live chess, right?

If it comes out of beta well, It will steal a lot of Fx users...

But for now, it's slow and buggy.

Really? Slow and buggy? For me it's working like a charm. It's super fast, with nice little transitions and whatnot, but I must say the user interface could be a tad better.

Chrome is lickity split fast for me compared to my experience with firefox. And I honestly don't see any problem with the user interface. What kinks does it have to work out? I'd rather have a fast browser than one with a bunch of features I don't use.

Well while Chrome is extremely fast, I customized my Firefox like crazy, and I use everything in it.

I think I shall use Chrome occasionally, perhaps wait a bit, but for now Firefox all the way.

Here's how fast it is http://www.sfu.ca/~cyrille/news/CFM.gif

Edit: Here's another little test (in milliseconds) for several different tasks, and it has nice little graphs too :D

Any opinions about the Google Chrome EULA?

That's weird. Everyone here says it's fast, but I'm experiencing it slow...

I'll restart computer and try.

Did you guys read the cartoon about Chrome? I did and it sounds very promising, especially the behind-the-scenes stuff that helps isolate resource-hogging and misbehaving websites.

natrix, I can't say I really like the EULA for chrome, for anyone who doesn't know what it is (http://www.google.com/chrome/eula.html - basically, Google owns you, you're stuff, and can control and use anything and everything you do on chrome).

I think its a little ridiculous how they want rights to EVERYTHING, as Microsoft tried with MSN as did AOL with AIM for rights to all IP passed through.

After a day of using it, I'm a tad dissapointed at Google, but hey, its their first shot.

Be aware that the google Chrome tracks everything you look at on the internet and ends up in a database.  Can anyone see if Google Chrome is Censoring infowars.com  ??

I agree about the EULA.  A shame too, but I will not be using Google Chrome much at all, unless they change it.

I'm browsing this in a recently downloaded Chrome :)

The javascript engine, called v8, was developed seperately and is supposedly faster than all the other browsers.

It's not really designed to steal users from ff - google gave mozilla about $58 million last year - it's aimed at bringing more users from ie into the world of open-source browsers.

Of course it doesn't censor any websites - why would anyone use it? That's just a stupid question.

I think it's significantly faster than firefox or IE ... I'm diggin' it so far...found a couple of bugs though..1) OCCASIONALY, when I'm in a separate yahoo messenger chat window, and i minimize the yahoo chat window, then the google chrome web browser window will automatically minimize too.. 2) in my godaddy.com admin, I cant seem to launch the admin links in chrome, but I can launch them with firefox..   anyway, no biggie, just giving some feedback if anyone is interested..so far, I give it a thumbs up, I'd like to see some skins though.

Well, by the same token I'm surprised by how many people would use a browser where the EULA states anything you browse (including personal e-mail, confidential info in a VPN website, etc) may be stored and shown to others by Google.  ;)

Do they keep my username? Where can I read about this EULA?
