how to change my profile background

i want to change my profile background. plz tell me how to do that.

Click on MY HOME -> Account. Click on  Customize the way Chess.com looks...  under Styles & Themes.

Choose a theme. Click on preview, use or copy.

The settings pages were recently revamped.  Visit https://www.chess.com/settings/themes instead. Choose the "Custom" theme, and under "Background", choose "Custom (upload)". Or, you can choose from one provided!

      it would be nice to change only profile page background separately from playing hall background,you know it is distracting when you are playing,

Welp nope this wasn’t useful 

I suspect the resolution and image size need to be scaled correctly for the image to be successfully accepted as the background, however I have no idea what those are supposed to be.

I cant get it to update ur own background

Go to your backdrop settings click on the scroll down, and the first one there is Custom(Upload).
