I've been playing chess offline with a physical board long before I knew the existene of this site. If somebody quits chess because of some chess site, then deep inside they probably hate the game anyways.

Maybe it is not disconnection, just the live chess server system goes iddle, fails transmitting a move and keeps clock ticking.
There are many complaints and testimonies in forums and it happened to me too. Still I can see ignorant people who tend to imply something about lame excuses of losers.

i have had some games when my opponents time is running and im waiting for him to move, he get less and less and less time, and suddenly the schreen says
"your opponent won on time" so i have started playing more unrated games:)

lol look, they bailed out on the game. I took there queen, and they left the game. My major beef is that they left the game, their clock was running... and I lost the game. Lord knows, I have been spanked by people, and I have never clicked on the X and just bailed. Ask any one I have played. I never resign or give up. But to have someone bail, and I am given the loss really fricking bugs me.
I was playing a game, and took their queen. Then the game disconnected and I have been listed as the looser. Even though I was 10 points up. I am done. To hell with this game.
