a 3 min game is rather fast. It will take a maximum total of 6 mins. I would suggest 15|10. They will last rouhgly 15 mins

I feel I'm ready for live Chess. But I could use some advice before I play. How long will a game last? i.e. 3 min,,3.5 or an average game for a new player at say, 10 -15? I feel like 3 mins. should be enough. I'd like to rate myself at about 200--400 as I have never played a timed game. Should I even consern myself about pre-moves , or put it off for a while? I would like to spend about 30 mins in a game just in case I have to leave my computer. I would really apreaciate some advice. Thanks, Walter
