I've had the same problem except only when I'm about to win. I'm looking into it, but this is very frustrating.
Losing connection every game
Hi guys. I'm really sorry you're having connection issues. Can you please let me know what type of connectoins you're using? Is it wifi only or a wired connection as well?
Can you also please let me know what browser and operating system (versions of both you're using)?
Did this just recently begin or has it been an issue for some time?
Can you also please let me know what the nearest metro area is so we can make sure its not an issue with a specific region?
I'm on wifi in both my home and dorm. I use Google Chrome version 31.0.1650.63 and Windows 7. This has been as issue since I first began playing on Chess.com in September.
I don't think it could be a problem with a specific region, because my university is in northern California and I live in southern California.
Thank you for the fast reply, it's good to know that Chess.com has such a supportive staff.
better to check your network connection performance first, otherwise the rest of the work will all go in vain. To do a network test just go to:
http://www.netscan.co and click the button to start the tests.
The Connectivity Checker will perform a series of network tests for modern Web Services like WebSockets and WebRTC as well
Everytime I start gettting close to victory I lose connection out of the blue. I never have connection problems unless I am winning so it is very discouraging when you have a game won then you lose because of strict connection rules.
It must be Chess.coms servers not up to the job.
I have same problem -usual in won position with around 30 seconds to go.Everything freezes.Got fast connection and latest hardware.
Is it because i am not a paying member?!-probably.
I almost never go an entire game without losing connection at least once, which makes it impossible for me to play bullet and very hard to play blitz. I've had this problem on both my university's wifi and my home internet, so I feel my internet connection can't be the problem. Any ideas on how to fix this would be appreciated.
Thank you.
