Expected behavior: I would not see any more friend requests in the header
Actual behavior: I see "2" in red. Clicking on it takes me to http://www.chess.com/home/friends, where there are no pending friend requests. Going back to the main home page I still see the "2" in red.

I think Chess.com caches certain data, like the group membership numbers you see on your home page.
