Problem 5 happens to me once, I thought my opponent was cheatin lol
problems with ipad app
after the new update the problems are still there but worse than ever.
i lost like 7 out of 10 games because of connection problems.
i tryed 3 different networks and all the same problem.
i think i've had enough now, i will cancle my premium membership until the problems are resolved
I have had a few issues using the chess.com app on my ipad. The problems seem to crop up intermittently, and when they do I just use a desktop computer. 1.Tournaments that start from a specific opening occasionally result in problems. Specifically, some of the pawns disappear while I'm playing the game. When I go back to the menu and then return to the game the pawns usually reappear. 2. Sometimes the system will not login. After hitting the 'sign in' button and waiting for the process to finish the system just stays at the sign in screen and doesn't enter the program or display any error messages.
i-pad will not let me move my pieces at all! The whole page glides up and down when I try to move a piece. Any suggestions?
I am also strugling with the clock-jump issue on iPad. Only started using it a month ago along with my premium subscription, and even checked for an update this morning on the iStore, in the hope that it's been resolved! only to realise now that this issue has been around for 3 years already... Please guys, please have a serious look at this.
In my case, the opponent makes his move, but his clock is still ticking down, and I cannot move any pieces. The after some time (lets say 10 minutes), his clock is suddenly resets to where it was when he made his move (i.e. gaining 10 minutes), I my clock is deducted 10 minutes! But I had not been able to move any piece... I am convinced this is not a connectivity issues, but a software bug.
One workaround when I see this happening - click the left arrow (previous move) and the right arrow (next move), and that usually solves the problem, but should not be neccessary to have to do.
Wow, I've lost about 50 points because the app, mid-game, says that it is "connecting." Every other app on my iPad is working, and I watch videos without so much as a glitch. What gives? I think it is happening every move: My time will begin running, but 40 seconds will be gone all the sudden.
Is the app in beta status? I thought it was functional? Three games cost me a ton of points.
I didn't try, but that's a good point.
Maybe the masses should start spending a buck or two and go to a technologically superior site, like instantchess.com.
I will let the staff decide for me with their response to these issues. And the only acceptable response is action. As of right now, I am not paying for my membership beginning this next month.
