Software Usage (Engines)

I recently purchased "Chess King", with the Houdinin Pro that comes with it.  I am currently waiting for it to arrive, so I haven't had a chance to use it yet.  First off, let me be clear, I do not intend to use this software for any nefarious means (ie; I don't and won't be using it to study ANY game that has NOT been completed).  I will only be using it to analyze my own COMPLETED games, or use it for training (again, NOT on games that are currently being played).

So, here is my question.  If I have this software open while playing any games on this site, will my account be "flagged" giving a false positive.  Or will my account be closed even though I'm not using the software to analyze any current game?  I'm asking these questions now because I usually keep my chess.com games open in Firefox throughout the day.  I don't like to logout and back in multiple times a day, but if that is what I will have to do to avoid my account being closed, then that is what I will do, but I want to know how others deal with this problem.  On what basis does chess.com flag/close accounts?  Have others had similiar problems?  I really don't want to have my account closed on a false positive thus losing my two years of grinding my way to 2000+ rating points.

What answers do the staff on this site have for this?

You can keep it running. I play unrated engine games here, also there is a group that plays engine vote chess. My engines run for hours sometimes.

Are you playing rated and unrated games at the same time your engine is opened/active?

rooperi

Yeah, I have 21 games currently, one of them unrated, my engine is locked on that position now, and I make other moves as they come up.

I don't believe you have anything to worry about. They analyze the moves, not the running software.
