Spell checker working?

Sort:
AquaMan

Either my spelling has gotten a whole lot better this week, or the chess.com spell checker is no longer working under Firefox 2, at least on my computer.

Thiss si a tsest.  The spell checker says, "no misspellings found."

Dissabled temporarily to free up bandwidth?

Edit: It's not working under IE6 on my other computer, either.

well i don´t know, i have Internet Explorer and the only thing is the slowness. But it hasn´t got a spell checker, so maybe i´m useless.

Let's see if it works with Firefox 3:

a wrong way of spelling mirakulous.

Yes it works. Isn't it miraculous?

I knew someone was gonna say it works under FF 3 Embarassed.  Does it work realtime in the text input window like on most other websites, or when you click the chess.com spell checker icon ABC above the text input window?  In my OP I was refering to the chess.com spell checker, though I didn't make that clear at the time (edited now.)

All right, all right, I guess I'll install FF3.  I did read Erik's post about FF3 improving performance on chess.com.  I wonder why FF isn't pushing it to me as an upgrade?

No it does not work realtime. I rightclicked in the text widow and selected "check spelling" and then selected the right language (I have Spanish, Dutch and English installed)

whoa, dude, that works!  Right clicking in the field I mean.  Once I do it, in fact, I get the red squiggly line under misspelled words realtime as I continue to type.  Excellent!  I'll install FF3 later.  I'm lazy, and I got better things to do right now like study endgames.  (Then I'm supposed to do a little work in the backyard.  Then I gotta do work-work for money.)  Yeah, I'll install FF3 later.
