All pawn promotions will be a Queen instead of giving you an option to choose. I usually turn this option off as auto queen will stalemate your opponent more likely than not.

Yup. 99% of the time you want a queen, the 1% is for the anti-stalemate and anti-fork situations.
For bullet games would be useful to provide a special kind of move which would avoid auto queening.

If you press the Alt key, that will temporarily suppress the auto-queen option if it's enabled.

+1 I switched to auto-Queen once I learned about that feature. Auto-Queen is useful to save a bit of clock and help with premoves. The rare time I want to underpromote, then I just hold Alt while promoting and it brings up the menu to select promotion. 100% best method if you play any kind of speed chess and a must for fast blitz or bullet for sure
