Can I report a player that doesn't play but refuses to resign?

Hi

I hope This topic is on the right place. I want to know how can I report a player that stops moving pieces for more than 15 minutes, but refuses to resigh. This situation is more unpleasant since:

1. the game is unrated, so he has nothing to lose

2. when refusing to move, he was in  a difficult situation

Thanks

What was the time control?

It's natural to take more time in a difficult situation. Stalling is a possibility, but so is thinking. It's within the realm of possibility that this is not unsportsmanlike behavior. I once was considering a lost position, looking for any reasonable continuation before resigning, and had my impatient opponent resign moments before I would have!

It's also an occasionally unpleasant fact that, when one accepts a game, one must accept that the opponent may use his time as he chooses. If you're playing G30, assume the game could last an hour. If you're not willing to wait 15 minutes, play blitz.

cosminemanuel, I assure you that anyone who deliberately stalls or disconnects will have their account automatically flagged and game play restricted.

What I recommend you do is try opening up another game while you wait by using the new game tab, as well as blocking the member so that you do not risk playing him again.

Hi

Thanks for your answer. I opened up the topic while I was still waiting for my opponent to move. I understand your point, but he needed about 15 mins to make a new move. Do you call that thinking? Anyway, after making me wait for another approx.10 mins, he resigned. So he made 6 moves in 25 mins (it was a 30 mins game).

I know that some people take their time to think (I do the same) but his guy was a smart ... you know the expression.

Thanks for your help. I have already blocked him.

I want to report BigdogP

Since 3 weeks he has a sigle Kink against many of my pieces and always took max time

And now that I have check mate next move, he finds a way to always get extra time

Very very non fairplay player
