Why is it when you are about to win a game that your opponent disables the chat? Is it that they are afraid of the abuse that they MAY receive for losing the game? I think that is why chess.com has a "report abuse" link. Well, here's what i got to say about that. What about those who are  courteous (like me) and want to congratulate you for a game well played? To me it is kind of rude, to disable chat 4 no reason. Just my view.Smile I believe that should disable chat when someone IS abusing you or disturbing you. Not to disable based on presumption. Because when you do that, you rob people like me the chance to be a good sportsman and say "Good Game", at the end of a chess game. Thanks 4 reading and please share your views. And if they want to prevent it before it happens?

Prevent what? Abuse? Well like it or not, even if you disable the chat there are still other ways to be abused. (messages, etc.) What about that? I think that you must not judge people like that, because ther are good people out there who may feel bad if they were not able to say "good game" in an act of good sportsmanship. But point taken and respected. That may be a reason. thanks for the comment.Cool
