Losing time but not saying disconnected

I've been having issues lately with losing time and I'm not sure exactly why or how this is happening. I play 1 min games so losing 10 secs easily can cost you the game. I play live chess on my phone (iPhone6) and didn't have these issues in the past. It's baffling me because even when I am obviously playing faster than my opponent, the clock will glitch, add time to his and then take away 5,10,15 seconds when I had been waiting for him to move the whole time. I'm not getting the ...reconnecting message popping up and I have even just tried a few games of playing horrible lol but extremely fast just to try and figure out how on earth I am losing 10-20 seconds a game. Anyone else experience this issue? I have tried playing connected to my wifi as well as on LTE and it doesn't seem to make a difference. Thanks in advance!

I believe when you make a move the server has to send it to your opponent which can cause extra time to run off. I play on mobile too and have this issue also which is why my standard rating is over 1900 and blitz and bullet are under 1200( I hate bullet so that will never change). There's probably nothing you can do about it other than play longer games bullet isn't real chess anyway but whatever floats your boat I guess lol

Yeah, that's what I was thinking as well but it seemed to be a sudden change so was thinking possibly it had to duo with the recent updated app. It didn't start happening until I did the most recent update. And bullet didn't used to be my top choice, but with a 1 yr old, I kept having to either resign, or I would get distracted and then leave someone hanging for the 5-10 minute games. At least this way I can squeeze in games here and there :) Idk that it's not real chess, some games are still really good and strategy filled. Others, just move around as quickly as possible so I'm not always a fan... Depends on the opponent. But thanks for the post!
