When you are in Live, make sure you don't join any of the tournaments. In the seek graph they are the ones marked with the icon that looks like a trophy.
If you click on one of those, you are entered into the tourney. Only choose games with a green circle icon. Or enter in your own seek and it will either autopair you or someone will accept your seek.
