3rd Puzzle of a different sort

Here comes puzzle number 3 out of "Mensa Mind Challenges". Enjoy :)

 

White has just made his seventeenth move. What was Black's ninth move, and what were the moves that followed it?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The minimum number of moves made by White's men to reach the position shown is: queen's pawn 5 (d4, c5, b6, a7, a8), new queen 2 (a7, e3), queen's knight 2 (c3, a4), king's knight 2 (f3, h2), king's rook 2 (h3, g3), king's rook's pawn 2 (h3, g4), king's bishop's pawn 1 (f3) and king 1 (f2). These total seventeen and therefore account for all of White's moves. Noting that Black's missing pieces were captured on c5, b6, a7, and g4, the position after White's ninth move would have been as follows:
