"Impossible" Puzzle

Sort:
True_Beginner

Do you think you can solve this solvable puzzle that will never happen in real?
Even engines can't strike through because it has more than 16 pieces.
I'm getting stuck.

Oops, sorry, I don't understand about that "FEN". PGN wo'nt also work I think, because this position will never arise from real game.

My friend brought it to me, and I was asked to solve it ASAP.

I'm waiting a master to be my savior.

I'm a pretty bad player, but why can't you just play:

Ke3     B any move

Rg8+    Bc8

Rxc8#

Please tell me what I missed.  Thanks.

True_Beginner

How if 2. ... Bd7 ?

I have mate in 3:

1. Nab5 (Bb7 or d7)

2. Rg8+ (Bishop blocks on c8 or e8)

3.Rx(c8 or e8)++

Here's another way.

Is this supposed to be a mate in two? Certainly if this is a mate in three it's just silly.

Edit: Maybe not, because a lot of these solutions aren't mates in three.

This one looks like the legit solution.

1. Nab5 1. ... Bd7

2. Rg+  will do nothing after Kb7.

Am I wrong?

Let me refresh the page, so that we don't have to go up and down.

Still I need a help from you all.

This must be mated in three, not more.

But if you can find mate in 2, what a surprise!

You find the move?

Mr_Nice

Nonsense,where u found it?

chessolite
