armenIAN and ukrainIAN ?

my vague and illiterate sense of history is that the duchy of moscow was created thru scandivian strength and that russians east of the urals are of the "great plains" people ( scandinavian and polish peoples..sometimes known geographically in some places as swiss or german ).

my point is that west of the urals and to the south..etc.

their are people who have a common IAN.  these people are not gentetically or culturally the same people.

the ukranIAN are truly historically scandanavian yet the armenIAN people come out of south europe if not the northern mediterrian.

so why the last IAN.  the historical answer is probably a matter of politics ( conquerors ). but i would like to hear from a ukranIAN and from an armenIAN why they share the same family tribal idea of IAN.
