And just when you thought you got rid of me too...

Thanks for all your messages of support, not sure how people found out I had been banned and not just closed my account, and really not sure how so many of you got hold of my email address ...  but thank you for all the messages and kind words (i even managed to have a thread started on here about me it seems - thanks for pointing that out to me Charlotte)

Half of you are probably thinking - Soorat who? - lol - which is fair enough

Chess.com have said there was some misunderstanding when my account was closed - I think they just couldn't stand my ugly picture any more - (I have now changed it to a generic picture - lol)

I am going to consider the matter publically closed though as I look to continue wasting my life away on this wonderful chess website

Now my boss is looking at his watch which I think means I've spent long enough typing away on his ipad ... back to work I go

Welcome back Soorat! Don't worry - you didn't miss anything important. As you know, my Troll of the Month contests were put to an end orematurely by the mods, and since then I haven't been able to create a thread nearly as popular. And neither has anyone else been able to create a great troll thread since you were banned (though I will recommend the "Who is the most famous person on chess.com" thread, which technically isn't a troll thread but is still pretty nice). Also, if you're interested in threads that are high quality but not very popular, check out this thread:

This is one of my threads that I put the most effort into, but unfortunately the majority of the chess.com community doesn't seen nearly as enthusiastic as I am am about the subject of Troll Studies. Nevertheless, in the future I will post more threads regarding my studies of trolls on chess.com, and eventually maybe I'll make people realize that it is a legitimate field of social science.

Anyway, I know this sounded more like shameless self-advertising than a "Welcome Back!" but hey, what else can u expect from Macer75?

Because the chess.com staff doesn't want to leave the impression that they constantly screw up and ban people mistakenly.

although to be fair i didn't post them for recognition - i just formed part of the lyrics while working at work - then the rest either during a break or (in the case of the second one) when i got home

Here's an idea Soorat - record the songs that u write, and post them on YouTube. After all, who wouldn't rather listen to a song than read a huge block of text?
