Fair play: Reporting insults proper?

I'm completely unkempt and quite verklempt because of the disrespect, in effect, affecting the feigning disposition of those disingenuous disgruntled bafflers.

I just get absolutely baffled by how often I read things where people think it's ok to treat each other horribly and then accuse the receiver that it's THEIR fault. I thought that we were all on the same page, but seemed to be coming at it from different angles. I do enjoy the discussion (until it delves into that usual internet insult tennis match) and find this discussion to be a very relevant topic to the times. I hardly ever meet people that think that "the kids of today" have no respect, or don't know how to behave, etc. Yet I meet so so many people that set such horrible examples and spend the majority of their energy defending it. It's really bizzare... At least to me....

Fix your creepy avatar, @Sheepy, and some respect might come your way.

But don't hold your breath.  It's the Internet after all.

Disgruntled_Sheep

Hehe, it is a touch creepy...

A little alliteration or a lot of alliteration?

Always allow a lot, albeit for kenpo's titillation.

What, no assonance?

I  think chess.com is a nice place for people interested in chess, unfortunatelly a considerable amount of players, are unnecessarily rude or agressive, insulting opponent in chat window, what's a real pitty. Since I understand chess.com is interested in fair play policy, is there a way to report players with such a behaviour?

I already know you can disable chat, but that's not the point. I belive a person that insults his/her opponent should be penalized to make sure chess.com be a nice place to fair play players.

Thank you.

They only act that way because the not within striking distance of you.

no, only assandwiches.

Did we ever come to a consonance/consensus on what that even is?

It turns out that you can discover a lot of things by going to a website called http://www.google.com.

so you're an honest piece of shit. i'm ok with that.

Keep in mind that a lot of miserable fools believe the internet is a great place to say all the things they will never gather the nerve to say anywhere else in their entire miserable lives.  And we all know that misery loves company.  Just don't expect to encounter them in the Halls of Valhalla.

An easy solution would be to start the chat in "disabled" mode. Those really interested should enable it. As it is I haven't experienced a lot of chatter during games.
