iphone app, frequent mainenance shutdowns

I have a problem with my iphone app, I wonder if its just me or if it happens to other people. I get many (twice a days sometimes) messages that I can't use chess.com because of maintenance. Yet if I look on the internet the site is not shut down for maintenance.

What really makes this a problem is that I cannot log into chess.com on the app until I restart the phone.

So all this restarting my phone and constantly needing to log in again has me using chess.com on the browser on my phone like the old days. And if you get logged out on that, good luck finding the log in button.

Im currently underrated, as I was firwst getting used to the app.  Now I keep getting logged off in the middle of a winning postion and lose the game.  Also when it happens, for some reason I need to delete and reinstall the app before I can log in again.  Very annoying.  

I think that if I get logged out then why cant the timer just keep running till I log back into the game.  If I dont do it quick enough then fine but to lose coz I logged of for 2 minutes when theres 20 minutes remaining on the clock is very frustating.

today was very unusual in this regard. we had several problems today. but i use the app all of the time and i don't get that issue (except today). has this been happening for a long time? what kind of connection do you have?

This happened for quite a while, 4-5 months, or so, but seems to have stopped the last couple weeks. I got one maintenance message today or yesterday - but an hour later I was automatically logged in. 

I have a 3G connection through Verizon.
