Live chess Rating Filter setting is not working.

If I set the Min Rating to 1400 and the Max to 1650 I would not expect to be match with someone outside that range. This is not the case.

What am I missing? Why isn't it working?

There seems to be a misconception where Filter is concerned :(

The Filter button is only used to filter out the seeks you want to see from other people in the challenges list. It has nothing to do with the challenges you yourself create. We didn't change the filter function between the last version of live chess and the current one.

With the filter, for example if you only want to see challenges from people rated 1600 - 1900, then you enter those into the filter, and those are the only challenges from other people you'll see in the List

 

In the Game Type Settings , you'll see one box for Min ratings and one for Max

Those are the ones you use to enter the min and max ratings you want your opponent to have
