Please fix/complete your theme editor/implementation or don't have it at all! :(

I spent awhile trying to create a theme, and, when it was done it doesn't work because you force high contrast situations that look terrible and/or unreadable, and other athematic juxtapositions. Look at the last screenshot I included. That's just irritating.

  • GREEN text and GREEN backgrounds with WHITE text, that I didn't select or want
  • ORANGE border around a panel I didn't select or want as well as orange buttons with white text in them.
  • And, though the theme is dark, many panels in the content and editors force me with bright WHITE backgrounds and font, which I didn't select, don't want and creates intense contrast against the dark theme that looks horrible. And rhw forum post editor window forces high high contrast bright WHITE background and BLACK font.

So, why do you even let people generate dark themes if the site wrecks them? Total waste of time and annoying. If you're going to do something like this it has to be comprehensively incorporated or it is just a waste of everyone's time.

And why don't you render your buttons in HTML 5 or something or in a way that button font and background can be selected too for the new site?

Plus, I had a theme I selected years ago, that I liked and took a long time to find.

When I visited the new site and tried to select a theme for the NEW SITE, it changed the theme for the OLD site, which is what I use because Live Chess is disabled on the new site 'temporarily' (again), and now I can't find the old theme I had to change it back in lieu of your theme editor/implementation being broken.

How hard would it be to just make automated PHP output or whatever generate the panel background/font CSS color for its list output and make the forum post editor do the same?  How hard would it be to make the green text honor the main theme color? These are easy fixes. Why not just do the right thing?

you should do that in V3 as they wont change anything in V2..

I brought this up YEARS ago in Site Feedback and Suggestions for V1 or V2.  What's version new site that we can select when it says "the new Chess.com"?  Is that V3? If so, then just fix that, that's fine.
