Kf2 has it's advantages, and is the original intention of this move. Seems enormously stupid but you get really powerful pawns. Check the game explorer.. it wins games.
This opening is not a developing opening because u block the knight on f3 and u have expose your king REALLLLLLLLLLY!! wide opeNNNNNNNNN
I'm gonna try it in Live Chess one of these days... followed up by Kf2...
seriously, check it out in game explorer, it wins plenty of the time. Looks like fun too
I don't think I like this opening. Great! you get to plant a knight on f2. You also prematurely expose your king. I think it is fairly obvious why you don't see this opening in serious play.
Is it possible that one of it's (very) few perks is that you can play your knight into f2 and delay control of the center? You could argue that you can give black the tempo and respond better to his moves. And, because the knight on f2 would attack e4 (as would the pawn on f3), a person could slowly control the center with pieces and later in the game bring out his pawns into the center. But that's just theory. It would probably quite a bit different in a real game.
This is best followed up with 2. g4
it's the only thing that brings more humiliation to chess than the israely opening (at least thats how we call it around here: a4 - h5)
its a move that u do if your trying to play a gambit
its called being different
