I recently played an interesting pawn sacrifice arising in a position after 1. c4 e6

Take a look at my blog article and let me know what you all think:

    Perfect.

in most cases this will simply transpose into a nimzo, so it's certainly not dumb...

    Perfectly sound.

At Agincourt, the French were slaughtered by the English. Seeing how c4 is an "English move" and e6 is a "French move", the name of this opening would imply Black's move was a bad idea...

Might be an option in the future for me, but at the moment I prefer 1...f5.

H777 clearly its not a move that is played often.

D4 is certainly workable though, although I much prefer the lines that come from 2.g3

d4 looks like the best next move for white!

    Why Qa4 for white?

not dumb, flexible. It can easily transpose with Nf6 or d5.
