    6.e5 is forced, after which Black is fine following 6...Bb4+ (probably slightly more accurate than 6...d5 which is also OK). The best white can hope is getting a draw in a pawn-down endgame.

    6. Nf3 seals Black's fate. 6...Nxe4 7. O-O is one move away from attacking a hanging piece (8. Re1). 6. Qf3 puts immense pressure on f7, and defends the hanging pawn. 7. Ne2, 8. O-O, and 9. Re1 gives White lots of control and defends e4 adequately. Black's biggest idea here is to castle ASAP rather than begin an assault on a center he's already lost.
