"White ignores the firmly held dogma that one should open the game with a center pawn.  More particularly, the opening flouts a strongly held opinion that the castled position on the king's wing is sacrosanct and should be kept as a haven for white or black king at all costs.  However, I feel that the king can be used more flexibly-from his position in the center of the board, provided the pawns in front of him are not advanced too recklessly." -IM Michael Basman. This tournament should be fun and have many a unique positions getting us out of book lines early.

Here is group of real Grobbers! Fall free into it :)

We are not big group, but have active vote chess games and sometimes matches or (as you see) tournaments.

Now we have two games as black. In Borg defence we have some hard times, but in Creepy Crawly stand pretty good :)

So I played the "Grob Opening: Grob Gambit, Fritz Gambit Romford Countergambit" for the first time and when I looked at the computer analysis after the game the computer called the opening "D00: Queen Pawn Game: Zurich Gambit" Just thought I would share because I find such things interesting.   If you are interested, here is the game
