300/50/50:  PCS Chess by the Numbers

PCS Chess now has 300 members with students, staff, and parents representing 50 schools in Pinellas County.  Our largest high school contingent is currently from Northeast HS; our largest middle school contingents are from Bay Point MS and Morgan Fitzgerald MS, and our largest elementary school contingent is from Elisa Nelson ES.  

We have also held 50 tournaments!  PCS Chess currently offers three informal tournaments every week:  open Arena Wednesdays at 3:40pm, open Swiss Thursdays at 7:00pm, and K-12 Swiss Fridays at 7:30pm. 

In addition, we will have a Grade 6 – 12 match against Sussex County, NJ, and we will be participating in a monthly international chess tournament starting in November.  Come and join the action in our dynamic, growing club!
