Site: Huntington YMCA – 917 9th Street, Huntington, WV 25701
Format: 5 Round Swiss System, 40 moves/100 min, SuddenDeath/30, delay 5 sec (Rds. 1-2 Game/75 min delay 5 sec)
Entry Fee: $50 by 9/1 $60 at site, GMs, IMs & WGMs free; $60 deducted from prize.
Prizes based on/20 players: $200-150-100, U1900/1600/1300 $75-50 ($500 Guaranteed), Upset Prize $40. Details announced at site. Unrated may not win over $100.
Registration: 10-10:45
Rounds: Sat 11-2-5, Sun 10-3:15
Byes: Half point byes OK all, limit 1, must commit before round 2 (not revocable).
Advance Entries: Online entries at chessregister.com. Mail 83rd WV State Championship Entry Form to WVSCA, 811 Hughes Drive, Saint Albans, WV 25177.
Other: WVCA membership is required for in-state residents. Membership must be obtained before or at the start of the event. The State Championship title will not be awarded to anyone who did not obtain membership before or at the start of the event. WVCA Annual Business meeting will be held Saturday at 10am. COVID protocols will be announced at site. Please bring a mask.

A US Chess membership is required and can be obtained at site from the Tournament Director.
