ARC's Results: August 2016

Hey everyone, SA Atomic_Rift here to bring you up to date with what's happening in the ARC! There's so much happening with the ARC I don't know how I'm going to compact it all into 1 short, worthwhile newsletter!

A Special Someone...

First and foremost, the great TotemMeister is at 99.5 points!! This will be the first time in ARC history, someone has been able to break 100 points for the ARC, and he's not even an admin!  Of course, he could be if he wanted to.  So I encourage as many people to give him a celebration trophy as a "pat-on-the-back" or "thank you" for all the years he's faithfully played for the ARC. Thank you TotemMeister.

Who is the ARC Player of the Month?

I don't know, that's up to Eragon to decide. As far as I know, I have not the foggiest idea.

New Avi...

The clashing blue and purple 4.0 avi has been really getting to me lately on how old it is. I have made a brand new GIF ARC avatar because V3 now supports GIF avatars! Sadly, when I went to upload it, it tells me "ERROR, we do not like the periods in the title." Strange... we're already called "A.R.C."... oh well, I'll rename us "ARC"!  "ERROR, that name is already taken!" So now it's just a waiting game for the SA of "ARC" to change their name. Sadly, there's been no response after a week. It only has 1 member (himself), so I don't think he should mind too much... or will he...

Of course this doesn't mean you can't see it! I'm using it to cheer you guys on in the latest CM, please let me know what you think!

ARC 5.0

As you know, 500 members is closing in and it's closing in FAST. I can't believe this "small" idea of mine has grown into nearly a half-thousand enterprise of chess players! It's overwhelmingly awesome! We do need to celebrate getting 500 members (duh), but I do need some good ideas as to what to do for it though. Usually, I'm brimming with ideas but this time I'm like:

I made "Avoid the Administrators 2.0" and working on something right now to keep admins in check (sorry to drop that on you admins), but haven't come up with anything realistically to do chess-wise. Sadly, an ARC YouTube channel just won't work yet. Why?

So yeah, maybe that isn't for right now...
