Cheating
The following has been incorporated to The Rules:
Cheating
In the SLCA, we believe that the vast majority of our members are willing to keep our formidable playing / training tool clear of the evil of cheating. Nevertheless, cheating is a grevious disease that must be combatted vigourously. Cheating may take several forms. Here are some of them:
- Using an engine to find the moves;
- Using an engine to double-check in order to avoid tactical errors;
- Using game databases
- Using opening books and databases;
- Using endgame books and databases;
- Using any other kind of exterior help.
The guilty player will be life-suspended without any explanation. His playing prvileges will be revocated and access to the SLCA and its affiliated groups will be denied. In certain circumstances, this may occur before Chess.com closes the player's account and even if Chess.com does not close it.
