When to trade:

1) Trade when you are ahead in material so the person behind does not catch up.

2) Avoid trading when behind in material because a queen is worth so many pieces.

3) Trade when your opponent has a space advantage.

4) Avoid trading when your opponent has a space disadvantage.

Should I do early queen attacks?

1) Get to know how your opponent plays first, so you don't lose your queen.

2) It's better to defend your queen and threaten the pieces before you check/checkmate them.

What pieces can defend others?

1) If it's a queen, block the threat by using a less useful piece.

2) If it's a bishop, capture a hanging piece or move away. If you can't, defend with a pawn or other less useful pieces.

3) If it's a pawn, move up. You may also block something with another piece. It also depends on the position you're in.
