Chess.com University Members,

I have great news for you today! Starting this month, Chess.com's The Master's Bulletin has a new member analysis column written by our very own GM Roman Dzindzichashvili!

What is The Masters Bulletin?

The Master's Bulletin is Chess.com's first, and only subscription based chess magazine. For details, see Daniel Rensch's post:

http://www.chess.com/news/what-is-the-masters-bulletin-8754

I personally believe that Bulletin is an excellent new resource offered by Chess.com. The magazine is filled with tips and advice for players at all levels. Columns such as "Topical Theory" provide great insight into opening theory whereas columns such as "Grandmaster Tips for Beginners" offer invaluable advice for novices wanting to improve their game.

GM Ben Finegold's Tip #5 from the the April issue of The Master's Bulletin may change how beginning players approach the game: "Retreating is usually fine!"

Each issue is filled with instructive opening, middlegame and endgame material.

The April 2014 issue is the first to contain a member analysis section by Roman Dzindzichashvili. I finished reading this issue and found the content to be outstanding!

Any upcoming simuls? Yes!

After scoring 13-0-0 last week, Roman Dzindzichashvili is ready to take on all-comers once again.

GM Roman Dzindzichashvili will be playing an online chess simul on Sunday, April 27th, 2014 at 1:00 PM US/Canada Pacific Time (PDT) right here on Chess.com!

The games will be played in Chess.com's Live Chess server. The time control is 30|30; that is, 30 minutes per person with a 30 second increment per move. The simul costs $15 per person and is limited to the first 15 players that sign up.

Registration:

Step 1: Go to the following website: http://www.aplustutoringamerica.com/Chess.html

Scroll down and click on the relevant PayPal button. The cost to play is $15.

Step 2: After you pay for your spot, message GeniusKJ on Chess.com and provide your name and email address.

We must know which email address belongs to which Chess.com username otherwise we won't know who purchased. You must remember to message GeniusKJ after paying for your seat. Send a message even if you believe we have your contact info already.

If you forget to message GeniusKJ on Chess.com, you will not get to play in the simul. Don't forget to send the message after paying for the simul.

Step 3: Send Roman Dzindzichashvili a friend request on Chess.com.

On Simul Day:

Be logged into Chess.com's Live Chess server by 1:00 PM PDT on April 27th. You have to send Roman a challenge in Chess.com's Live Chess between 1:00 and 1:10 PM PDT.

You must send the challenge with the following criteria:

(1) Time control is 30|30.

(2) Game is unrated.

(3) Roman Dzindzichashvili is White meaning you play as Black.

Roman will not accept challenges that have the wrong settings.

If you have any questions or technical difficulties before or during the simul, contact Kairav Joshi on Chess.com.
