Congratulations for April 24!

Congratulations to my amazing students!
~Divish Dhanalakota who defeated a much higher rated opponent at the Monday Nights event hosted by Chess Cardinals Club. He reached a new rating high of 1302!
~Evan Jin who defeated two much higher-rated opponents at the same event and reached a new rating high of 1278!
~Avyukt Gupta who defeated two much higher-rated opponents and gained more than 100 rating points. He is now rated 1209!!
~William Bai who won all of his games at the Thursday night event hosted by the Chess Cardinals! He gained 184 rating points and reached a new rating high!
~Charles Bai, Aryan Bezawada, and Hithesh Manojkumar who all had great performances at the same event. They all gained rating. Hithesh also defeated a much higher-rated opponent in the process
~Alvin He who had a good ladder event on Saturday in the St. Louis chess club, raising his rating to 1534!
~Shreyas Kota who had a good performance at the Friday Quads to the St. Louis Chess Club and gained rating

Separate congratulations to my students who went to the National Middle School Championship:
~Sudeep Vadderaju who drew against a player rated 2146, had a great tournament, and raised his rating to 1845!
~Adithya Ganesh who had an amazing tournament, played against higher-rated opponents in all 7 rounds, finished with 5 points out of 7, and tied for fourth place out of 62 people! He gained 160 rating points and reached a new rating high of 1508!
~Julian Fundler who won 6 games out of 7 in his section. He tied for third place out of 248 people! He gained 235 points and reached a new rating high!
