He played 3 much higher-rated opponents, defeated two of them and drew against the third! He tied for first place in the top section and reached a new rating high of 1572! He has now gained 840 rating points in a little more than a year!
Special congratulations to my student Jennie Liang for an amazing performance in the Monday Cardinals tournament! She won 2 out of 3 games, defeated two higher-rated opponents, and reached a new rating high of 1236! She has now gained 163 rating points in the past 2 tournaments! She is now ranked #62 for girls her age in the country!
Special congratulations to my student Gokul Binoj for an amazing performance last Thursday at the Cardinals! He went undefeated, beat one higher-rated opponent and drew against another! He tied for first place in his section and reached a new rating high of 1241! He has now gained more than 200 rating points in a span of 2 weeks!

He went undefeated, defeated two higher-rated opponents, and won the highest section! He also reached a new rating high of 1618 and has now gained 219 rating points in the past month!
Special congratulations to my student Aryan Bezawada for an amazing performance in the Missouri State Scholastic Championship! He went undefeated over the course of six rounds, defeated a higher-rated opponent, and tied for second place in K-8 section in Missouri!! He also raised his rating to 1710!
