Congratulations for May 21!

Congratulations to my amazing students!!
~Divish Dhanalakota who finished first in the Sunday tournament hosted by the Chess Cardinals Club! He defeated a higher-rated opponent and reached a new rating high of 1353!! He has now gained 200+ rating points in less than 2 months!
~Evan Jin and Sparsh Panja who tied for second place at the same event! Evan drew against a higher-rated opponent and reached a rating of 1244!
~Ishaan Sinha who had an amazing ladder event on Saturday!! He defeated two much higher-rated opponents (and five people altogether)! He gained 169 rating points and reached a new rating high of 1280!!!
~Josh Thomadsen who defeated two much higher-rated opponents at the same event, gained 148 rating points and reached a new rating high of 1204!!! He has now gained 439 rating points in the past 3 months!!
~Aryan Bezawada who had an amazing week! He tied for second place out of 16 people in the higher section of the Thursday event hosted by the Chess Cardinals Club while defeating a higher rated opponent. He followed that by drawing an opponent rated 600 points higher in the Saturday event hosted by Jeffrey Vollmer. Finally, he tied for second place in the reserve section of the Sunday tournament hosted by the Chess Cardinals Club. He gained 100+ rating points and reached a new rating high!! He has now gained almost 300 rating points in less than 3 months!
~Willam Sun who drew against a much higher-rated opponent in the Thursday event and reached a new rating high!!
~Sudeep Vadderaju who had a good performance in the Friday Quads, defeated two higher-rated opponents, and gained rating!!
~Sujay Vadderaju, whom I am happy to be teaching again during the Summer, who had a good performance in the Friday quads, drew against a higher-rated opponent and gained rating!!!
