Team USA won the 2016 Chess Olympiad in Azerbaijan. Sitting: Hikaru Nakamura, Fabiano Caruana and Wesley So. Standing: Ray Robson, John Donaldson (captain) and Sam Shankland.

Despite losing the first two club matches, the Sacramento Bishops of Honor want to battle a third time. The first match finished close at 7.5 to 6.5, but the second went to the Sacramento Pawns by 9.0 to 5.0. Can the Pawns three-peat or will the Bishops preserve their Honor?  Join us for yet another friendly Club Match on Friday evening.

Club Match: Sacramento Bishops of Honor vs Sacramento Pawns
When: Friday, August 7 at 7:00 PM (until about 8:15)
Format: Two games against the same opponent
Time Control: G/15 + inc/5

Please indicate your desire represent the Sacramento Pawns in the comment section below. I expect some openings on our eight board team for new players. By the way, anyone who prefers to support the opposition should contact EM-TheChessShark (Enoch).
