Mosquitoes take on Odisha Express

After a devastating loss in round 3, Mosquitoes hope to regain confidence against the Odisha Express. This will be the first interdivision match as Odisha is competing in the Eastern Division. Both teams have so far won 2 of their games so a close match is expected. The match will start this Wednesday at 17:10 CET and will be broadcasted live on the Twitch channel of the Mosquitoes.

The Mosquitoes have a slightly higher average rating. For the Mosquitoes FM Ilias van der Lende makes his PCL-debut. GM David Klein (5/8) and IM Miguoel Admiraal (2/8) are already experienced players in this tournament, while IM Christov Kleijn will play his second match (2/4).

Odisha Express will substitute Board 2 IM Padmini Rout for IM Swayams Mishra after two rounds. The latter is the most experienced PCL-player of Odisha having already collected 6 points out of 8 rounds. IM Padmini Rout and IM Anwesh Upadhyaya have been less succesful so far with a combined score of 0.5/8. Sidhant Mohapatra is the only untitled player in the match, but should not be underestimated given his 2/3 performance. Odisha's board 1 GM Igor Miladinovic will play his first games for Odisha.

The rules have change slightly with regards to the schedule as the order of the pairings are reversed. In this way the players will face their board couterparts only in the final round.
