2024-08-16: Announcing Creator Cash Prizes (show details)
Starting from August 19, we will be implementing changes to the rewards for our top creators. Instead of awarding subscriptions in Twitch or Kick, we will introduce a new set of creator prizes. The revised prizes will include two weekly cash rewards:
- A 100 USD cash prize will be awarded to the streamer who achieves the best combined result in the following events: Opening Roulette, one of the UnTitled Tuesday events (either Early or Late), and Community Bullet Brawl.
- A 100 USD cash prize will be randomly awarded to any streamer participating in any community events held the previous week.
We will email the winners on Wednesdays and ask them to send the VOD proving they were streaming during the previous week's events to be eligible. If everything is correct, we will send all the logistics details on how to get the cash prize.
As of February 2025, we're awarding creators within our community with monthly cash prizes. Here you can find all the information regarding monthly prizes distribution, points distribution, eligibility, requirements, and how to participate.
Prizes
The top 3 creators who achieved the best combined results across all events during a month will receive Best Combined Result prizes, and two other lucky creators will be awarded a Random Lucky Ticket prize following a raffle system, where they get 1 ticket for each eligible stream during the month.
- 1st Place Best Combined Results: $250
- 2nd Place Best Combined Results: $150
- 3rd Place Best Combined Results: $100
- Random Lucky Ticket Prize 1: $100
- Random Lucky Ticket Prize 2: $100
Streams are reviewed for prizes eligibility on a weekly basis and added to our database. Monthly creator cash prizes results will be updated during the subsequent month in our Community Prizes Database item. Prior communications are done via Chess.com DMs.
Creators who earn a Best Combined Results prize are not eligible for Random Lucky Ticket prizes.
On the event of a creator being drawn twice for the Random Lucky Ticket prize on a given month, they'll be awarded once and there will be a second raffle to pick another winner.
Points Distribution
For the Best Combined Results prizes, creators can earn points for each event streamed during a month, assuming they have fulfilled the requirements and have eligibility for the prizes. All the Community Club weekly events will count for the points distribution.
Eligibility
We review all streams for creator participation eligibility on a weekly basis. For a stream to be eligible for creator prizes, the specifications are:
- The player must have the event title or abbreviation in their stream title
- The player must save their VODs for a minimum of 14 days publicly
- The player must follow our Fair Play and Community policies
- The player must stream their games with their board and themselves visible on stream, and their video and audio must be clear
- The player must have streamed a minimum of 60 minutes throughout the event—VODs that do not fulfill this requirement are not eligible. Please note that for Swiss events to count, a player must still have played all tournament rounds regardless of the time streamed.
- The player must have registered via our Creator Cash Prizes Application Form (link below)
- Verbal commentary and chat engagement are required—we are specifically discouraging players from streaming simply to be eligible for prizes while not providing any streaming "value"
- These prizes incentivize non-titled creators within our community, therefore they are not awarded to titled players
Requirements
Creators are welcome to stream from Twitch, Kick or YouTube assuming they do stream all events on a given month from the same platform, what we call a creator's "Main Platform." Requirements for each platform are as follows:
- Twitch: Affiliate Status, streams listed in the "Chess" category
- Kick: Affiliate Status, streams listed in the "Chess" category
- YouTube: 1K+ Subscribers, streams listed in the "Live" section

PS: We’d love to remind you that our community club event is all about bringing EVERYONE together for a fun chess tournament, no matter your skill level! We really appreciate how creators help spread the word about these events in their communities, and we’re always looking for ways to make the experience even better for both them and all participants. Your thoughts mean a lot to us, so we warmly welcome your feedback on everything we do, including any ideas for adjustments to the new prizes.
