New tournament

Blundering Buddies proudly presents The Vote Chess Club War, an exciting Inter-Club Vote Chess Knockout Tournament where clubs compete through teamwork, discussion, and collective strategy.

In vote chess, every move is decided by the combined thinking of the entire club. Members discuss ideas, analyze positions, and vote for the move they believe is best. The move with the most votes is played.

This tournament is designed to bring clubs together for strategic battles and friendly competition.

Only one club will survive the knockout rounds and become the Vote Chess Champion.

🔢 Tournament Structure

• A total of 16 clubs are participating
• The tournament will follow a direct knockout format
• Round of 16 → Quarterfinals → Semifinals → Final
• The winning club advances each round
• The losing club is eliminated

⏳ Time Control

• Maximum 3 Days per Move (This allows clubs enough time to discuss and vote on the best move.)
• If both participating clubs agree, they may choose a shorter time control.

📜 Fair Play

• Chess engines are not allowed.
• Discussion between club members is encouraged.
• Clubs should follow fair play and good sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

⚖️ Tiebreak Rules

• If a match ends in a draw, the club with the higher game accuracy will be declared the winner.
• If the accuracy is the same for both clubs, the win will be awarded to the club with fewer members, recognizing their effort in holding a draw against a larger club.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

• Participating clubs must have at least 100 active members.
• The club must have played at least 5 Vote Chess games.

🏆 Prizes

• The winning club will be crowned Champion of The Vote Chess Club War.
• Three members from the winning club will receive a 1-Year Chess.com Diamond Membership.
• The club owner of the winning club will decide which three members receive the prizes.
• Selections can be based on contributions during the tournament, such as members who suggested strong moves, participated actively in discussions, or helped the team the most throughout the games.
• Prizes may increase depending on additional sponsorships.

📅 Tournament Start

• Clubs may start their matches anytime once both sides agree
• All Round 1 matches must be started before March 25

🎲 Tournament Draw

The official tournament draw has been completed.

The draw was made by arranging clubs based on the number of members and then placing them one by one on both sides of the bracket. This was done to keep the matchups as fair and balanced as possible for every club.
