Dear Improvers,

We started our weekly Rapids on the second Sunday of February, and it's been a joy seeing you play, compete, and especially support each other in your improvement journey!

In just three weekends, 1,367 players (1,122 unique players) participated in The Improvers' Sunday Rapid tournaments. Even more impressive is that 50 of you played on all three weekends, and 155 players played in two tournaments out of the three!

Congratulations to the following 50 players for having a perfect attendance record:

84moose, aae4, Abbys_Dad, ApathyDivine, ApexSub90, Apple3141592653589, arturlp, astrol8N66O, BenK102, Benni_Str, BudBudson, CapitalChap, CaptainBigHair, cegalleta, chessamateur9988, ChessSister2_0, ChuckHole57, darkelfxxx, DonetskUA, Drake_Dmax, Eudniz, Iamkgf, ImperfektDaemon, itsmohitsaini, justaugustus, kbysystm, KhaisoNaki, Kittowat, Kiyandokhtt, Kunal8102, Legendary-Pirate, maafernan, marexpro, masterofootball, mattis1012, Not_SPEEDER, old_toppie, Olzhek, PaulSmart87, RaK_27, RezaaliG, Rodrig9500, Rohan_Dubey1511, sempervirentz, TheLearnerofGames, thereasonidothis, TheWorldCup2022, TJHeezy, VeijoK, Warrior342

Adding one tournament starting March

Starting in March, we are doubling the Rapid tournaments and offering two every Sunday:

The first tournament is at 8 a.m. ET / 14:00 CET / 6:30 p.m. IST, and the second is at 12 p.m. ET / 18:00 CET / 6:30 p.m. IST.

Both tournaments will have the same format: four rounds, 10+2 time control, and two sections: Under 1200 and 1200+ groups. We hope that our friends from Asia will find this start time more convenient and will participate in our events!

How do you join the tournaments?

Visit the club's home page and click the green Join buttons next to the events.

We hope this will allow more players to play, enjoy the game, and practice the new skills they are learning. And if you want to double up: play the first one, take a two-hour break, and come back for the second event on the same day to have a Sunday filled with chess!

Don't forget

We have many resources available for you to learn and follow your own improvement journey. The resources are posted in multiple forums, listed under Useful Links in the club's right sidebar, and also summarized in this announcement.

Follow The Improvers' Sunday Rapid Tournament—Updates Forum for regular updates, announcements, and tournament discussions.
