Upcoming Chess Tournament: 44th Paul Keres Memorial
Hey tournament players! The 2019 season continues with the 44th annual Paul Keres Memorial chess tournament, to be held the Victoria Day long weekend in Richmond, BC. The second early bird entry deadline is Monday, May 13. Register here. All details courtesy of the tournament website.
When: Saturday May 18- Monday May 20 (Victoria Day weekend) 2019
Where: Executive Airport Plaza Hotel, 7311 Westminster Hwy, Richmond, BC
Format: 6 round Swiss in four sections by rating (U1100, U1600, U2000, and Premier); 90 minutes + 30 second increment time control
Prizes: $6000 guaranteed prize fund with cash prizes for top 3 finishers in all rating sections + prizes for intermediate rating categories + prizes for top two unrated players
Fees: $100 before May 13 ($70 for U1100); $115 on site ($85 for U1100)
