WCL and WCC matches valid for the 3rd round of Open Cities Swiss
Dear colleagues!
Most of the 2nd round games have started, the rest, I hope will start in a few days.
Let me return to the point that in view of overlapping with WCC participation round and WCL playoffs and complaints for excess match load from many teams, some suitable matches in first three rounds of our competition are played by the schedule of WCC and WCL taking into account the pairings in those competitions.
The only purpose is to reduce match load on the teams and save your efforts.
The following matches scheduled for the 5th round of WCC paricipation round also count for the 3rd round of Open Cities Swiss.
Team Perth WA - Metz the Chess Team
These matches are already open, there is no need to create extra matches between the same teams.
The following matches scheduled for the WCL playoffs in division 3 also count for the 3rd round of Open Cities Swiss.
Team Prague - Team Brisbane OLD
These matches are already open, there is no need to create extra matches between the same teams.
I ask the admins of
Team Izmir and Team Barcelona
to open their match ASAP. The start date is 13 of June as indicated by Anastasakis. This match will also count for the 3rd round of Open Cities Swiss.
The match
is already open, however, as it is the only match in the WCL Div1 Second phase - bottom that can be suitable for our competition and taking into account the great match load, I suggest that it will count for the 3rd round of Open Cities Swiss.
Matches corresponding to WCL 2nd Div Playoff and WCL 1st Div Second phase will be published on the 19th of June together with the rest of pairings.

I repeat again: one single match played by the schedule of WCC is enough for both competitions.
